Montesecondo Chianti Classico 2018

Silvio Messana farms his Montesecondo estate in San Casciano biodynamically. His lovely Chianti Classico is 90 percent sangiovese, with 5 percent each of canaiolo and colorino, blended from two sites and aged in concrete vats. It is spicy, pure and vibrant, with lively, stony, lingering flavors of red fruits and fine tannins. (Louis/Dressner Selections, New York)
