I punteggi e le recensioni di Antonio Galloni per le annate 2017, 2018 e 2019:

2019 Sangiovese – 92
The 2019 Sangiovese is a very pretty wine that emphasizes freshness and vivacity. Crushed red berries, spice, orange peel and floral notes give this mid-weight, translucent Sangiovese tons of character and complexity.

2018 Chianti Classico – 94
The 2018 Chianti Classico is absolutely gorgeous. Black cherry, tobacco, spice and leather bring out the darker side of Sangiovese. Bold and dramatic in the glass, with striking depth as well as translucency, the 2018 is a winner. I loved it.

2017 Tin (Trebbiano) – 91
The 2017 Tin (Trebbiano) is fermented with indigenous yeasts and spends 10 months on the lees in amphora. In the glass, the 2017 offers a striking interplay of texture built through skin contact and the natural brightness of Trebbiano. This is an eccentric style, and the wine won’t appeal to all palates, but there is a lot here.

2018 Il Rospo – 93
The 2018 Il Rospo (Cabernet Sauvignon) is another incredibly distinctive wine in this range from Montesecondo. Grilled herbs, leather, smoke and menthol are all laced into a core of dark plummy fruit. Vinification and aging in cement preserves remarkable purity in the flavors. The 2018 is a joyous, exuberant wine that delivers the goods.

2017 Tin (Sangiovese) – 96
The 2017 Tin, 100% Sangiovese done in amphora, is a total knock-out. It is a riveting wine from proprietor Silvio Messana. Time in the glass reveals a wine of unreal complexity and bright, explosive energy. Sage, menthol, tobacco and dried flower accents complement the Sangiovese fruit in this striking wine. In a word: superb.
